I'm a peruvian street and documentary photographer currently based in New York City. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Lima in Communication and Media Studies, and my focus lies on the communication of socially-driven, public initiatives. I see photography as a way of understanding ourselves and that's what motivates me to keep shooting. Currently working on my thesis project called "Marea Pública" (Public Tide), a documentary photography project which tries to showcase the achievements of Alto Perú. This is a slum located in Chorrillos (Lima, Peru) in which the sea (among other spaces) is being used as a public space for kids to develop values and skills, create safe spaces, and promote interpersonal bonds.
